Abstract

The field experiment was conducted (2007–2009) on Cam- bisols in Zamojszczyzna – south-eastern Poland. The response of spring Triticale to different soil tillage regimes (conventional and reduced) and to two fertilization schemes: NPK (control) and NPK enriched with sulphur at a rate of 40 kg S∙ha-1 as ammonium sulphate. The aim of the study was to estimate the effect of experimen- tal factors on grain yield of spring Triticale, content of P in grain, uptake of P by grain and some factors of soil. It was found that the use of conventional soil tillage and sulphur addition at a rate of 40 kg S∙ha -1 as ammonium sulphate increased grain yield of spring Triticale. Phosphorus content of the grain was significantly higher under the simplified soil til- lage. The phosphorus uptake by grain was significantly higher after the addition of sulphur to NPK fertilization compared to the control treatment. Under reduced soil tillage content of available phosphorus in soil increased, while sulphur addition increased sulphate sulphur content of the soil. Phosphorus content of the grain was positively correlated with soil pH and with total carbon content of the soil.
