EFFECT OF NANO-GRO® STIMULATOR ON SELECTED COMPONENTS OF YIELD AND SEED QUALITY IN COMMON BEAN PHASEOLUS VULGARIS L.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study was carried out in 2012–2014 in Poland. The ef- fects of NANO-GRO® application on the yield and quality of seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris L. of Aura cultivar was studied. Nano-Gro is a preparation which contains oligosaccharide gran- ules saturated with metal sulphates (Fe, Co, Al, Mg, Mn, Ni and Ag) in nanomolar concentrations. During the growing season, four methods to apply NANO-GRO® were tested: soaking seeds, soaking seeds and single spraying of plants (BBCH 12-13), single spraying of plants (BBCH 12-13) and double spraying of plants (BBCH 12-13 and BBCH 61). Upon harvesting, the number and weight of seeds, the number of pods and the weight of a thousand seeds were recorded. Protein content in seeds was determined. The four treatments with NANO-GRO® were compared with the control, where no preparation was applied. Double spraying of plants advantageously influenced the yield components and pro- tein content in seeds.
